As of July 1, 2009, West Central Technical College and West Georgia Technical College merged to form the second largest technical college in the state.

Technical Diplomas
Technical Diploma programs are focused on academic development and successful progression of skills development.

Associate of Applied Science Degrees
Associate of Applied Science Degree programs are focused on collegiate academic success, skills development, and the development of a well-rounded citizen. Associate Degree programs from technical colleges are considered "terminal" and are designed to meet the needs of employee and employers for specific occupational opportunities.

Murphy Campus brings many benefits for Haralson County, including:

• A curriculum offering over 130 technical certificates, diplomas, and degrees including instruction in such critical demand areas as Nursing, Surgical Technology, and Electronics.
• A local resource for continuing education and adult education classes, as well as for business and industry training.
• A 12,000 square foot conference center offering Haralson County residents a wonderful facility for meetings, luncheons, dinners, business expos, and conferences.
• An One-Stop Career Resource Center that offers a variety of social services to the local workforce through collaborations with other government agencies such as Department of Labor, Vocational Rehabilitation and state service providers with the Technical College System of Georgia Special Services like the Georgia Fatherhood Program and WIA Program.
